iPhone noob here (3GS)...
I have an alumni email that is run through GMail but does not use "@gmail.com" - instead uses "@gwmail.gwu.edu" (yes, I go to an overpriced school, I know). I'm trying to set it up on my 3GS but am having a host of issues:
1. Outgoing mail - not sure how to configure the outgoing server. Currently I have Host Name: smtp.gmail.com; User Name:
xxx@gwmail.gwu.edu and my email account password. Incoming mail is working, but...
2. No link between mobile email and computer-accessed email. None of my archive folders are recognized and it has automatically marked every single message in my inbox or archives as unread. How to I get GMail to tell my phone the full story and does the fact that my address isn't @gmail.com an issue
