You should try to find a case that covers the bezel and clean the case and the phone first before applying. I figure some type of candy case would be best as it has a soft inside but hard outside?
The case I have now is a contour and it doenst even cover the bezel which has tons of micro scratches on it. Also, the phone sorta has to slide in it which left some small scratches/smudges? on the back of the phone. I would not recommend a slider counter. |

i posted some pics of what the seidio innocase did to mine, be very careful with hard cases in general as it appears that they will scratch the heck out of your phone.

Why don't you go for the incase slider? It has got the following features-
* Durable iPhone 3G protection * Lightweight hard-shell plastic construction * Direct access to widescreen, easy access to all controls and device features * Allows charging while in case or bottom cover slides away for docking * Soft touch finish. I think this is enough for anyone. |

You should try a cell phone wallet by Nectar Accessories. It protects the screen from being scratched and its heat sensitive so you're able to text and make calls while the phone is in the wallet. The wallet is unisex and holds the iPhone, keys, credit cards, money, change, a pen, chap stick and more. It's extremely well made. I recommend it!
