How do you know it will be a solid device? Have you gotten your hands on a production unit? And I had the pleasure or dis-pleasure to use a Bold for a few weeks and I must say.... BORING! Just my opinion though.

I said it a million times... the Storm = FAIL.

pleased with my bold, but ok... As for the storm failing, I guess we will find out in the coming weeks. I did briefly get a chance to play with a pre release model, so no first hand experience on the verizon model, but I think it will do well. If it does well though, I expect you to still post in this thread admitting how you messed up. Go to your local verizon store next friday, and give it a try before you knock it like you have been doing.

Maybe I've already played with the finished product...

I played with my friends today(sounds bad lol) the OS is suuuuuuuper sloooooow! I liked it but its soooooooo much slower than an iPhone. Much more confusing and difficult to navigate as well.

Yep, its slow, but so was the iphone when it first came out. Give it some time to get the bugs worked out. With that said, its not for me, but maybe it will grow on me.

They really dont compare besides the touch screen. Two different phones, with two different purposes. Also, i dont expect many people that use the iphone to like the storm, atleast as far as the typing feature is concerned, but I could be wrong. Its different, and takes some getting used to. Im sure if some had the phone for a week or 2, they might think differently, but just going into the store, and playing with it shortly, after owning an iphone, that many wont like it. with that said, it seems that verizon/ rim got the word out pretty good, as their were lines waiting for the phone. We will see how things turn out in the coming months, should be interesting.

I got my iPhone the first day it was available and of the things it was slow was not one of them- in fact I'm sure it wasn't as quick as it is now but it was not nearly as slow as the storm I messed with. If your talking about a specific program or app maybe but otherwise go peddle that BS somewhere else.
