While not all of the details are out on the Blackberry Storm I will admit it has peaked my curiosity. What does everyone else think about this one? Do we have a possible iPhone killer on our hands?

I know BB users are pretty loyal but you have to wonder how accepting they will be to a device that has no physical keyboard. Most BB users complain about that regarding the iPhone.
“I couldn’t type on it and I still can’t type on it, and a lot of my friends can’t type on it,” says Mike Lazaridis, R.I.M.’s co-chief executive and technological visionary. “It’s hard to type on a piece of glass.” Last edited by JFSikora : 09-11-2008 at 12:34 PM. |

After seeing the brief hands on video on this BB I want to change my vote! There is no way this will come close to the iPhone. Just not going to happen. And yes I know that is a pre-production version in the video. It showed me all I needed to see so... yeah that's all.
*Let me just add to this a bit. With the Thunder/Storm we have a device that is clearly going after the iPhone customers but it is missing the biggest piece to the puzzle, the App Store. Last edited by JFSikora : 09-11-2008 at 12:38 PM. |

"And as far as Mr.Dip-sh** aka. ninjabrew, not liking the actual function of the touch, well, I'm sure not everyone will like it. I on the other hand do, and think it's GENIUS! No accidentally touching the screen and doing something you don't want to. It's like using a "REAL" keyboard. You can see the touch is VERY RESPONSIVE(contrary to BG's report). You can't believe everything you hear. As far as how the 95xx functions, if you don't like the actual push-in(haptic) function, then don't get the device. I myself like it, and think it was a wonderful addition to the device. I have a lot more thoughts, but have to clear what can be said. I saw Mr.Dip last night and knew this was coming, hence my everything will be okcomment. Doubt it's over." Last edited by mycrownvic02 : 09-10-2008 at 11:08 PM. |

From a few sources, that screen isnt exactly final. Who knows, it may be easier to type on than the iphone. As far as the size is concerned, we will have to see. Maybe we will get some shots by tomorrow from the cita show on the final product..

![]() *And I'm not a BB hater, I almost waited for a Bold but the long delay tossed that out the window. Last edited by JFSikora : 09-11-2008 at 10:41 AM. |

bad ash
I agree with your comments. And,I too was hoping to trade in my Curve for the Bold. The endless delays is the reason I have the iPhone today. Not crazy about it, lots of flaws, but what can you do?? The best I have found is a phone with about 80% of what I want in any one phone. Seems having to "press" the screen would get old, although the touch screen on this thing is a pain sometimes. Neither is perfect, but after seeing the BB in action, they have a long way to go with it. |
