Question Can any future device take over the top spot?

I'm curious to see what all of you think would be the phone that actually has a chance of taking on the iPhone for the top of the hill?

My vote has to go with this new HTC HD that was just announced this week. It looks to be a very, very sweet device.

Thoughts?

It's a WinMo so it's a no go for me. I see the Storm being better than this, and the Storm being the only phone to come close to the iPhone.

Top of the hill asfar as what touch phones go? Like mentioned below, the storm will pose a threat. We will see though.

Yes, touch screen phones. How did I know you'd chime in here with that...

You can do so much more with WM than the ancient BB OS. That's just a fact nobody can argue. What are your reasons for saying that?

WinMo is just a really buggy OS. Even though the BB OS is not interesting, it is efficient (memory leaks suck though) but 4.7 looks like its going to be decent for a touchscreen. I don't think any phone is going to beat the iPhone, just that the storm will beat all the others.

Fair enough, though every operating system has it's issues. But you can't deny how impressive this new HTC Touch HD seems to be regardless of the OS. 5 mp camera, 480x800 resolution... that's sweet.
