That's fine and dandy for music or other multimedia files, but what about contacts and calendar events, etc... It's not that simple.

PIM data are all in the cloud I think. You have to use the Google apps.

I think Google is worse than Apple in a nice way.

Am I reading correctly?... 1gb total on the memory card? Or 1gb on board + memory card (typo?)

I am seriously thinking of getting this device. Then I read 1700/2100mhz for 3g and then if the statement above was read correctly, this can be the reason it's $179. NO MS Exchange? How about business users get on this phone now instead of the iPhone. No syncing? Drag and drop is pretty boring, slow and "ghey" How about game saves? Rofl. This is stupid if correct.

There's a few good things that Android is doing. Amazon MP3 store, pretty neat. The GPS compass feature is really really cool. Push Gmail, I wish Google would add that to the iPhone. It still looks like an alpha or beta interface though, just doesn't have the polish that the iPhone does. I'm excited now because Apple has a little bit of competition, which means consumers get new devices.

I only see the option to cut all / copy all. Can you select it?

I think that the main feature of the g1 is it's cohesion and integration with google online
Services. Googles Internet services are amazing, and hopefully they are able to make all online functions available through the g1.

Quick question: if gmail push has been enabled for the g1, than what about it's hardware or software allows it to have this push? Cuz I've really been waiting for push gmail on my iphone for a long time....

Yup, there it is, number three: Killer Cloud Connectivity.

Is it likely for us to see some sort of agreement between Google's online services and the iPhone? Because that's the only thing I can see on the Android side of the list thats bugging me.

It should be interesting to see what happens. I would think Google would not want to partner up but rather keep that for themselves. Gives them a bit of a edge in that department.
