HTC doesn't give a care if they put out a product that is just good enough to get by. The 5way dpad on the fuze was all for show. It looked good but pressing up, down, left or right was a gamble. You'd never know if the you'd move left or switch to the phone screen. They just made it so that it would look cool,,,,, it didn't actually work well.

The GPS works on most days but you cant count on it so that would be a software issue. MS doesn't care if their soft doesn't run correctly on various hardware or if it is tweaked all to heck by 2nd parties. They just care about selling licenses and getting it out there.

This is a universal issue and right now AT&T, HTC and MS are probably pointing the finger at each other.

Apple does a great job of making hardware and software together that works as it should.

Hey Bad,,,

Well I had the Tilt for a year and loved it. Had the PPC 6700 for a year and loved it aside from that retarded joystick! Had the PPC 6800 for a year and loved it aside from the fact that it was ugly.

The deal is apple put out the iphone which is incredibly good looking and does what it does very well. All the competition rushed to make something good looking and forgot about functionality. The buttons on the Treo Pro were retarded! The buttons on the Fuze are equally retarded and their are to many hands in on the customization of the software.

I'm glad to be back,,,,,,, cant wait till my new iphone is delivered!!! C'mon UPS!!!

I already tried the HTC Touch, lasted 3 days. The screen was too small, same as with the Bold. I was squinting all the time. The only thing I really liked about it was the Touch Flo and the weather app. Well, the Iphone has Aniweather which is a copy of the HTC weather app so I'm good!

Maybe you could go for a Samsung Memoir. It has an 8 mega pixel camera. Im sure you'll be able to get one unlocked shortly. But then again unlocked TMO phones have slow data speeds sometimes with other carriers.

Battery life depends on you actually. The phone itself has a pretty decent battery range. Especially compared to other 3G phones. Just the way it is. As for better camera, sure it's possible and would be nice but if you want great serious pictures - buy a real camera.

I'm a sales rep in an at&t retail store, and I can tell you that as a geek I really like the Fuze. I still hate resistive touchscreens, but I could live with it. I can also tell you that out of the six or so I have sold in the last couple of months, EVERY ONE OF THEM CAME BACK TO TRADE FOR AN IPHONE OR A BOLD. Windows mobile is just too complicated for the average consumer, at least in our area. If you are willing to take the time to reflash the os, customize it to your heart's content, and dig the web for some cool apps, the fuze is a cool device. As far as Joe Blow off the street taking it out of the box and using it with all the crapware that at&t bogs it down with, it sucks.
