got one 2 days after launch day i love it but mostly because my sprint service is better here in NYC than AT&T was.

It looks cool and all but I doubt I would get it. I'm not a fan of Palm since I had a bad experience a long time ago.

hmmmmm $99 looks like I might get one after all LOL

so anyone get a $99 pre?? post up, somehow I don't think it was a glitch I think that's just a cover to get it out there funny that it matches the price of the 3G Iphone hmmmmmmm

Well I was talkin to a friend yesterday and he says he has heard that the pre has had some hardware issues. The sliding motion has meant some have broken quite quickly or have gotten loose and wiggly.

And the device gets hot... and I mean hot. Charging brings heat, d/ling the OS update, brought heat within one minute. Now I'm guessing it's a Pre issue and I will be calling retentions to get me a Tour. I have to go into the store first.

The hardware issues seem to be more with the earlier batches. Palm has since then made the slider more durable. I have not had any slider issues, nor does mine woble period. So far I'm very happy with it, and unless it just falls apart on me, then I'm not going to downgrade and get the tour.
