Default Latest Firefox 3 update, terrible performance now

I don't remember exactly when but within the last week I know that firefox 3 (my main browser) got an update. Since then everything has been downhill. In all I would say the performance is just plain poor. It has crashed 3 times on me. It locks up randomly or freezes. Websites take ages to load for no reason that I can see.

I am rather sad to say that I have actually been using IE8 all day today because ff3 with the latest update is just not usable at the level I want.

Has anyone else experienced this? One of my friend's and his parents both are having the same issues as me. My friend and I have Vista and his parents have XP.

Running FF3 on Vista with no problems. DO you have some add-ons installed that might be causing an issue?

Firefox 2 had too much memory leaks and bloat for me, I was hoping FF3 would fix, but I dislike the UI and it's crashed on me several times when using WebApps, costing me hours of work.

So, I'm now on Safari 4 Beta. So far, so good...

The update just before 3.5 seemed to fix my issues. I haven't had any problems with 3.5 yet. Runs smooth again.

Yeah, FF3.1 was VERY buggy for me. I actually stopped using for awhile. Now that I updated to FF3.5 all of those probs have seemed to have gone away. I am back to using it for personal surfing now.

I'm running 3.5 on Vista/Windows 7 on two Laptops and have found no problems. Usually I use Chrome, but am finding FireFox 3.5 to be very nice, and I like the changes they have made, they've pretty much added the things I like about Chrome. I use it for work all the time at first because all the bookmarks I needed were already there, and the admin website at work, works better with FF then Chrome.
