Default Would you trade in your 3g(s) for an HTC HERO if it comes to AT&T.

Regardless of how you feel about the Iphone ( I love my 3g) the Hero is just plain sick, and the Android community seems to be getting stronger by the day. The Sense UI is simply breathtaking in design, features, customization, and most importantly functionality.

The Teflon coating on the phone goes beyond the oleophobic screen. And the slight curve at the bottom could really help with holding the device. Oh and hardware wise the Hero is just awesome!

So what do you guys think. Check the link to get a peek at the Hero if you haven't seen it.

i'll take a look at it, but in my opinion (at least now) iPhone OS > Android, and that's the most important part. Also, I want a good software keyboard, software keyboards are more important to me than hardware keyboards.

If you looked at the Hero it does not have a hard keyboard any you can load just about any type of software keyboard you want.

And Sense UI/Android is head over heels better than Iphone OS is just about everyway possible. Look at the video and you will see.

No, but I'd like to take it for a test drive and see if Sense does a better job at user experience than the G1 one did.

Judging simply by a video is not the wisest of moves...

(Ever hear of Sony Xperia from last year?)

Sure it looks cool, would I give up the 3GS? No... would I buy a Hero? Sure.

Android is like a child without it's mother. It's in its childhood and there is no major support for it. I'd go back to WindowsMobile before I went to Android. Atleast WIndows still have a bunch of software accumulated for it plus a lot more support.

iPhone is just a much better device with a lot more support and apps. I would be worried more about Palm and Window's future advances than google or blackberry.

Palm Pre now has a new excellent UI, but a sh*tty carrier and windows has basically everything built in, but a horrible UI. Windows has 1Ghz snapdragon and Nvidia processors coming out, but WM7 is still way off and we don't even know if it will even be that great.

Competition is a great thing for us consumers. It just means Apple will work harder on OS updates and the upcoming 2010 iPhone OS 4.0.

I'd rather try the My Touch 3G..

And it was announced yesterday by a T-Mobile biggie that they have no intentions of bringing the Hero to the U.S.

I have found the HTC's quality to me isn't the same. I am not sure about the hero, but I was given an option when I had my storm with Verizon of HTC, or Curve. They were both going to be free to me but I went out and brought a 3GS. That tells you something.
