When you update an already purchased iphone app, are you charged for the update, thanks?

I'm not sure if Apple will allow pay-to-upgrade presently, but I think most developers would fear the backlash from consumers, even in the face of significant improvements to an app.

We shall see, as MLB is basically doing this year after year with the MLB At Bat app. I for one will be buying it...again...
