Facebook Issues

I tried to find the answer already, so I apologize if this has been answered before. Has anyone else had an issue with getting notifications only once you open the app? I did not know if there was a setting somewhere to adjust that I could get them without having to load facebook?

What type of notifications? I receive facebook notifications (important ones anyway) via email, you can also receive them via text message. You can set this up (including which notifications you would like) by logging into facebook on your PC and go to Settings>Account Settings>Notifications

is there any way to set up notifications without having to use text or email?

i know on blackberry you just get a facebook notification for the app - not thru email or text....can the iphone app do the same?

Once 3.0 goes live and facebook updates their app to use push notifications...then yes it will work just like that. Until then...no.
