Well, all the really good lame passwords have already been mentioned - password, 1234 etc.
How about people who think they are being really smart and use birthdays, anniversaries and/or middle names? Or the name of their dog? |

OK, I constantly have to reset my password for all the banks and web sites. For some reason I have trouble remembering them. With this app, hey I just have to launch it and get the info. I have to make sure I remember the password for 1Password Pro

all the 'good' lame passwords have already been mentioned. The worst I've seen actually used besides default and no passwords and the obligatory "password" and "1234" variations has been "changeme" and "******". One that a friend used was a combination of '1's and lower case 'L's (like "1ll1l11l"). So if he wrote it down it looked like all 1s or all 'l's or some terminal fonts display them identically as well.

The best is how people often write their passwords on a sitcky-note underneath the keyboard. Kindof defeats the purpose.
Also, a story in The Week Magazine last week talked about USGov't computers being seriously breached because a large percentage of the employees used "password" or "Login" as their password. The secrets are out! |
