They just need to go the the appstore and click on redeem to be able to download the app with the code. It is a very simple and straightforward process. I hope I have answered your question. We have used it many time for journalist and so far no problem at all. A good thing to keep in mind is that codes expire after 4 weeks.

If your doing it on your iPhone open iTunes and his redeem and then enter code and open app store and it should start downloading.
