Default Navigon GPS LITE for North America is now available in App Store

Navigon MobileNavigator for North America - LITE version- is now available in the App Store for free.

I haven't tried it but it sounds like you get all the maps and nice feautures -- just no active GPS guidance.

Hopefully this is a sign that the full version of Navigon will be available soon.

Yeah, and hopefully it won't cost $140.

Wow, 1.3 GB for the lite version! and $140 for the full version!

Would be nice to see some screenshots of the app in action, not much in the app store..

I'm downloading it now just to see how it is. You can't beat FREE, as in Free Beer.

I see the navigon there. But what exactly can you do with it? Can you browse the map and does it at least give you your location via GPS?

It's a good app.
It finds your location and you can do search for POI ,address ,etc nearby. You get a little preview of the simulation with 3D view and shows different speed limits based on what street you're on.

Looks very promising. But I'll still wait for tomtom before I make a decision.

I like that you can orient the screen to landscape. It looks really good and I would have bought it, but seeing as how it might be 140 bucks then I seriously doubt it. GMap works for me.
