I thought it was weird when I saw a Verizon ad... at least I thought it was Verizon.

So glad the Verizon ads are gone. (They were the type to float over the text and get in your face with the advertising... java/flash based?) Anyway when I hit the "X Close" the ad would go away but when I went to click on "Forum" it would instead open the Verizon Wireless website (like some remnant ghost of the new Verizon guy refused to give up and leave). I had to use this workaround for several days: Click on "About"... let the page load... and from there click on "Forum"

BTW running Firefox 3
