Removable storage should be a must given the quickly dropping prices of micro SD cards (and ever increasing size). Alas, that would take away many peoples want to upgrade to a newer iPhone.

I expect this solution to work for the iPhone when Belkin delivers the extender so that I can attach the dongle to the iPhone.

This solution has worked very well. The battery life of the iPhone has been good as has been that of both the Plantronics dongle and headset.

Incidentally, I now have three of those extenders. Now of course, Apple decides that they are no longer required.
