Help! How close is iPhone v3?

Today I had to return my brand new (not even three days old) iPhone. I noticed that I had a dead pixel, in the bottom left had corner in the phone icon, as well as dust under the centre of the screen.

Hopefully Vodacom (the South African cell company that sells them) will give me a replacement. The customer care guy said it will take a week for it to be processed & only then can I receive a replacement. I loved it over the past few days I don't regret buying it at all but I can't justify paying all that money and there is something wrong with the screen.

I was wondering if anyone has an iPhone that doesn't have any dead pixels? I have a 1G Touch and it has two so I really hope that I get my replacement & it has no problems...

Sturamsden, I've had my iPhone since launch day and I've never had the dead pixel problem. I really have only heard this complaint a couple of times, so your replacement should be fine. I don't think it's a common occurance.
