I had the iPhone 2G so the 3GS is a huge step up. It's much much faster, sleeker, and I love the new screen.

It was soooo worth the money in my opinion just for the speed alone. My dad has a 3G & I tested the 3G vs. 3Gs and like Apple said the 3Gs is 2x FASTER! I really like having the ability to shoot video as well. The trimming option is awesome and it will even get better with 3.1. So yes again it was worth the $$$

My take on the 3G[S] I upgraded from a Black 16GB 3G to a White 32GB 3G[S] my 3G sold at auction end for $412+shipping. I paid the "upgrade" price for my phone, So all in all it cost me was $148, having to pay the unsubsidized tax was almost as much as the upgrade. Im happy I did it. I love the new phone. Its way faster. And buying this one early, we are more likely to get AT&T to do the same thing next year as they did this year with the early adopters, buying the new one before Sept 30th and getting the subsidized price. So next year when the new one comes out. Hopefully they will offer the same deal.

I dont really care about the 2 year contract. I mean I need a phone anyway and AT&T doesnt lose exclusitivity for a few more years. So Im here for the duration. I rarely have voice or data issues.
