Does anyone know any way to speed up the backup process?
Mine takes forever too, I think the first one after getting 3.0 yesterday took about 3 hours!! Don't know why it takes so long..

I personally think it's a good thing they got rid of it.
I hope they aren't tweaking it and then putting it back.
It made no sense at all to use up a button space that said "More" just so they can add a redeem option.
They should just put a little "redeem" button in the top left corner of the "app updates" screen. Just like the "Update All" button.

Ok, I'm only having one real problem, it's that about half my apps have gone into a black hole, after re-syncing yesterday, itunes showed them being copied to my phone, but they are nowhere to be found! Itunes is showing 5 gigs of apps in green, and I tried installing some of them from the phone in the app store but the button you press that says "free/install", is showing them already "installed".

Anyone notice this?

Default iPhone OS 3.0

I have also downloaded the 3.0 update. I have noticed a slower phone since I installed it. I think this might be because of the new additions. I have noticed that after a few restarts(5 or so for me) it seems to gain back the speed.

Default Notes sync?

I am having a problem finding out where iTunes puts the notes that it syncs with my iPhone. I was under the impression that I could edit these notes and have them sync to my phone. Does anyone know where these might be?

When sending a contact from one iPhone to another using MMS the contact comes as a unknown file on the other phone. Can someone confirm this?
Yep, I have this issue. Very annoying. Whenever I receive an MMS from someone, it doesn't link the number to a contact properly. The message then shows up as a number (eg; 61 403 999 999) which has to be manually looked up within contacts. The picture obviously doesn't get threaded with other messages from that person.

I upgraded to 3.0 last night and it seems okay so far aside from a couple issues…
1) When I move into landscape texting, the phone doesn’t recognize it and therefore doesn’t switch into landscape mode. This only occurs when I am standing. I realized that if I tilt the phone one way or the other when flipping it to the side, it goes into landscape. Was I doing it wrong or do I have a real issue on my hands?
2) When I click the text bar (the space where your words show up) it brings it up with the keyboard, but when I click it again to make it go away..it doesn’t go away.

Something that isn't a bug, but should be reverted back.
When texting a long message, the text area keeps expanding and now eventually fills up the whole screen. Now if the other persons text was long, and you were replying to several parts...you now can't read the rest of their text, and have to delete some of yours to do so. There should be a limit to how much the text box can expand(like previous versions). I don't mind scrolling through my own message to read what I've put so far, but I DO need to see the other persons text. It can't block it out completely.
