Distortion in 3GS

My "Old Phone" ring tone and SMS alert tones sound distorted. I don't think it's my speakers since they sound good if I play music through them. Ring tones seem to distort on my 3GS earlier than on my 3G.

Haven't heard a problem with mine, but then I'm ruined by years of hearing MP3 audio :-/

I have the same problem. Many of the 3GS's have this problem I believe.... Idk if its software or hardware... I'm thinking about going to the apple store to have them replace it.
