• faster processor
• front facing cam (2 mp)
• 5 mp camera on back with flash
• flash
• wireless n
• more ram
• change the design
• app approval to get better/faster
• bigger screen
• better resolution
• multitasking
• better battery life

Of all those things, I think we should only expect..
Front-facing camera
5MP camera on back with flash (but I DOUBT 5mp)
adobe flash support (I think this is coming sooner than 2010 though)
better resolution (HD I think is the next step for iPhone)
design change (some kind of fake aluminum, glowing apple that can function as flash/video light)
better battery life (as it is improved every generation)
multitasking (mobile expose)

I don't think the CPU or ram will be due for another bump. If they gave it another they'd probably be giving it an 800Mhz processor with 512mb ram but that kinda seems like a bit much. 3G S runs swimmingly. No improvements are needed for the current platform.

Change in design and operating system its time apple advances it os, oled screen, 64 mb of storage, more megapixels on the camera and added flash, adobe flash support for safari, multitasking, core processor and maybe an improved graphics chip maybe can't wait till my contract ends in july next year

Please god no front facing camera,

i think every country should wise up and ban front facing camera's on any mobile device.

i've seen enough stupidity with them to realize what a bad idea it was and who ever came up with it should be shot.

put it on a phone thats popular with teens as well.. great. all we need is for jonny to be trying to vid cam cyber with his girl while he's on his way to school....

I would love to see:

5MP Camera with a much larger lens and a flash
4 inch OLED screen
multitasking if we don't get it in a software update before 4.0
the ability to save email attachments
at least 512MB memory 1GB would be better
80 GB storage to match my iPod Classic
802.11n WIFI
builtin HD Radio
