My phone before the iPhone was the Voyager as well. It's a huge upgrade from that POS phone.
Jailbreaking is great, but will take a little bit of a toll on your battery, but since battery life isn't an issue for you, that's no big deal. I would read about it and see if there are some JB apps that you would want before taking the plunge. Of course, that being said, if you do decide to go for it, you're bound to find apps that you wondered how you did without them and can't believe Apple didn't think of them first.
The downside of JB is that you have to wait to update your phone and, I don't know about everyone else, but I tend to lose all of my JB apps and have to redownload them all after every update, which gets tiring. [...and yes, I have "Aptbackup". It didn't work this last time for some reason. After restoring the phone, I went to the app and clicked "Restore" and it said I can only do that after restoring my phone, which I'd already done.]
But I digress. Overall, I wouldn't choose to go back to non-JB.
