Default App icons

Nothing major but I just noticed that that mail and safari icons are a little different. The safari has like continents in the back and mail has clouds. Looks a little nicer to me

I have no idea. I just noticed it the other day. Wondering if anybody else did or it's just me

There are four different classes of Apple iPhone icons:

1. Icons like the iPod icon - silhouette pictures with the glossy background (iPod, SMS, phone).

2. Icons without a glossy background (like that light/dark rounded divider) (camera, maps).

3. Icons with some sort of solid divider line and shadow (calendar, notes).

4. Icons with background activity as well as gloss (email, safari, stocks).

At least that's what I've observed, anyway!

Hmm. When I first got the iPhone I didn't notice that the Safari icon had continents till later on. I always noticed the clouds on mail though. Did you just get the iphone ?

Negative. I've had the 3GS since launch date.

I think they should make it so every online app has to have an icon. There are lots of good ones out there, but I won't save them to my desktop unless they have a good icon.
