Default Tested remote wipe an bricked my phone :(

Since I have my new iPhone 3Gs, I decided to test the remote wipe on my iPhone 3G before I passed it along. The wiping went great, but the screen stays on the apple logo...even when I try to sync it. It's completely unresponsive. Rebooting it doesn't help. Any advice?

Isn't this the reason to have remote wipe, so someone can't use the phone. You'll probably have to take it to an Apple Store.

Maybe you should leave the testing to the professionals.

With that attitude innovation would be dead. The remote wipe is supposed to be restorable by the end user by simply syncing with iTunes if you find your phone after the wipe, according to Apple. I couldn't see where anyone else had tested it, so I did. The bricked situation was a bug. It's fixed now. Life is good =)

Are you sure it wasn't the apple logo with the status meter under it? That's what usually happens when you wipe/reset your iPhone..
