itunes problems on my iPhone

I have an unlocked 16gb 2g iphone and itunes seems to have 'jammed.'
When i open itunes and select a song it constantly jumps to the next one and then the next one etc. etc..
I have tried restarting it and that doesn't work.
Any thoughts/advice would be gratefully received
