Default Exchange Usage

Has any corporate Exchange Admins noticed a spike in utilization on their Exchange Servers since implementing iPhones? We currently have about a dozen iPhone users, most of them VPs with no mailbox limits, and I've been noticing that my daily log files have almost tripled in size. In checking the logs these iPhone users are generating a ton more queries than say our other Windows Mobile users who use Active Sync. Plus for those users who are remote to our corporate offices our WAN utilization has increased again due to the amount of queries their iPhones are generating. I have since set their Active Sync settings to sync just 3 days and the most recent 100 emails, but at anytime these users can change these settings.
