3G toggle app

So in watching the keynote it looks like battery life will be 2G talk time 10 hours 3G talk time 5 hours. Ok so basically we know that there is a 3G toggle setting but I dont want to have to dig through menus to turn it on and off all the time. battery life is important to me and I'm on wifi alot of the time anyway so I would rather just leave it in edge and switch when I'm out & about and want to check my email or use maps. So I guess what I'm trying to ask is is there a way to make an app toggle it on and off? I would love to have an icon on the springboard that I can just click then slide the bar to turn it on or off.

I would also like one for the brightness setting that's another thing I miss about my treo.

If its something that is done multiple times a day then ya it starts to become an issue.

I totally agree, but I don't see anyone making this simple of an app, well I don't see Apple letting it in the app store

I'll do it if it's possible to do; the sdk may not (and more likely does not) give access to the setting.

Well if you do I will certainly use it when I get an iPhone 3G of course. Keep us posted.
