I enjoy my Blackberry Storm. But, in my opinion, it lacks the coolness factor of the iPhone.

They have already mentioned having a GSM version of the Pre as well as the new model, rumored to be the replacement for the Centro, called the Eeos.

So I wonder if this has soured things with Apple then. You could definatly see Apple was not happy with AT&T during the keynote, and they were very blatent to bash the Palm Pre. After all AT&T is technically the only US Carrier for the iPhone, so if they were also to get a Pre, I am sure apple will take a hit in market share.

I think the problem is that most people don't understand what happened last year when the 3G came out.
The original iPhone wasn't subsidized like other phones. Therefore your eligibility for a subsidized phone remained intact. When these same people upgraded to the 3G, which was subsidized, they used that eligibility to get the phone at the $199/$299 price by signing the 2 year contract. ATT lets customers get another subsidy at 18 months. It's only been 12 months. So that means you aren't eligible for another subsidy. That's the way phone contracts have always worked. The whiners have nothing to whine about. Not knowing the rules is not ATT's fault. |
