AT&T Ordering Process ?? Is deposit required??

As a first time customer, I placed a pre-order for the Iphone 3GS last night via apple.com.
I went through the process and paid for the device.

When will I know if I require a deposit to have service with AT&T?

In placing your order you did have to enter in all of your information including SS#, set up what plan you wanted, etc... Correct?

If so you should be set. That should have ran a credit check then and there as long as it approved you. Maybe I'm wrong here but you should be good.

I did provide SS# along with everything else, so it sounds like I am set.

I saw an * saying that if you preorder for store pickup it's not guaranteed to be there, still said first come first serve, but in the email you get it says you have until the end of the day to pick one up.
