So i bought my iPhone 3G like 2 days after it came out, and I heard about the new AT&T rule about the upgrade if you bought the 3G in July, August and September. So i called AT&T today and they said i could upgrade for the lowest price in December. I'm really confused about it, anyone else have this problem?

Just call and argue with them. You have to get lucky and get a knowledgable account representative. There's a lot of dumb one's and know nothing about their jobs. It's sad when someone who doens't work for AT&T knows more about their own service than they do. At an AT&T store I basically set up my mom's account myself because the rep had no clue what to do. Same thing happens on the phone.

You need to be 18 months into your contract to get the discounted price.. If you just got it last July, you are not even 1 year into your contract. That is why your date is in December. Sometimes they let you upgrade after 17 months or perhaps even 12 months .. if its 12 months your monthly reoccurring charge has to be over $100.
