Question about warranty and Apple/AT&T

Hey Guys

Still waiting for UPS to drop off the package (3GS) via AT&T.

I have a friend with a 3G, and it stopped playing sound.. not sure why, but of course Apple is replacing it.

My question is- since I got my 3GS from AT&T's website, can I just take it to Apple to have it replaced? I am only asking because I am not going to want to be without an iPhone for a week or so while I wait for the old one to be shipped out and shipped back.

Yes, AT&T will not service or replace the device, you must go into a Apple store.
