Default Contract Renewal Fee?

I renewed my contract with AT&T, and got a new iPhone. Someone told me thy would b charging me a $36, contract renewal fee. Is this true?

I am also happy to be returning to the world of the iPhone. I got one when they first came out, but broke it after a year. Now, I have Safeware Insurance, and Squaretrade warranty thing.

Thanks,

Chris

You might want to check with AT&T. I have not heard of a contract renewal fee though, just activation fees.

Did it show up on your account?

if you bought the iphone from ATT.com, email CS and ask for a credit for the 18$ upgrade fee. That is what I did. If you upgraded your phone with a new 2 year contract at an ATT store, they should have waived your upgrade fee.
