Will at&t allow me to activate a used iphone?
My friend sold me his 3g when he bought his 3gs. Will I a be able to activate it or will they require me to buy a new phone?

do u currently have an att account?
if u activate it without having an account u will have to agree to a 2 year contract if u currently already have an account u can just put it on ur account wihtout any contract extension

Actually you can activate a used iphone sans contract under any conditions. They nixed that rule in our market a long time ago
