Default Durability

How durable is the iphone? I had my first mini drop today, from a couch onto the carpet and my heart skipped a beat (my friend dropped it ). I know this is probably not enough to do anything to it, but I started to wonder... How many drops can these things take? What have your iphones been through?

I have dropped mine more times that I would like to say. It has held up good, although it is in a case 98% of the time.

I have dropped my first gen in a puddle of water once, I thought I has lost the phone but I got it out really fast and everything was good. I even had apple check it to tell me if any of the water sensors changed color and they said no.

I think they hold up good.

Hahah I watched that video a few weeks back and I couldn't help but wonder how someone could find themselves in a situation where they could treat an iphone like that... it is painful to watch.
