Question iPhone & Exchange

Hi,

I have the following situation:

ExchangeServer1 - Country A
ExchangeServer2 - Country B

ExchangeServer1 and ExchangeServer2 are on same domain and linked across a VPN.

DNS Record (owa.domain.com) pointing at ExchangeServer1

Users who have a mailbox on ExchangeServer1 can use their iphone to access mail no problem. However if i move a mailbox from ExchangeServer1 to ExchangeServer2 then the user can no longer access mail.

The same dns record is used by users to access Outlook Web Access and it makes no difference if they are on exchangeserver1 or exchangeserver2, the link always works and they can log in to their mailbox.

Am i missing a step here, does additional configuration need to be done on exchangeserver1 so that it will allow access to exchangeserver2 mailboxes from iphones via the one public IP/dns owa.domain.com??

Error users get once they are moved to exchangeserver to is just a constant prompt for a password.

Once a users account is on ExchangeServer2 - Country B, can they get to their email from a PC?

If that fails, you know the issue is not related to the iPhone, but something else...

Yes once the mailbox is moved they can access from a PC and through OWA from outside the network.

Hmm, ok. I wonder, could it be a permissions thing? Just trying to give ideas here; I work in I.T. but have no idea what's causing this...

I am not in IT, but could it have something to do with ATT? Blocking the routing to that server?

That's a possibility; albeit I doubt it, I don't see what benefit that would have to them to do that...

AT&T, the carrier...

Though, like naviwilliams, I doubt AT&T has anything to do with the issue you're experiencing.

Find out if outlook web access works on server 2. I assuming each exchnage server is running the CAS role or not? A lot of varables here. Either Way get OWA working first on server2 then work on exchange active sync.
