What Mac to get?

hey everyone I'm new to the mac Community and I recently got the iPhone 3G ( second to last in line to get one on the 11th!). Well now I'm I'm the market for a MacBook because I will be going to medical school in August. Here is where things get tricky, if I get the current MacBook next weekend I will get it tax free as well as a free iPod touch that I could either sell or give it as a gift. However, if I wait they're supposed to be coming out with new MacBooks in the fall. I really wanted to start school with a fresh computer, but I guess I could wait if it will be worth it, and I'm not to fond of the white MacBooks but I'm a poor college student and can deal with not paying the extra $ for a black one. Any suggestions on what I should do in this situation?

to be honest... they're talking about sub-$1000 mac books... so if money is an issue, i would take the chance and wait... thats my opinion...
