For all that thought the storm was huge, you are very incorrect. Here are the specs of the storm compared to the curve.

Curve........
4.2 x 2.4 x 0.6........
Storm......
4.4 x 2.41 x 0.54......

So You can clearly see by the specs that the storm is not a big beast. Nearly identical size as the bb curve, and is actually thinner.

As you can see, the screen/ keyboard looks much better than it did originally.

Default Killer???

Well I am one of those people who is venturing into their FIRST smartphone. I have been very fired up about the 3G iPhone and had my sights set on it. I have to say that with the Storm getting ready to release, and the "moderate" glitches with the iPhone & AT&T network, I have to say that I am in a holding pattern until I get an opportunity to handle the 9530 Storm. I don't know if I would consider the Storm an iPhone killer. I think that the only true similarity between the devices is that they are both touch screen phones. YES I know that there are some other similarities people, but IMHO I think that there is just enough individuality between RIM & Apple and their devices to not kill either or. To each their own. From a consumer standpoint, BRING'em ON!!!!! We'll take ALL the kool devices you can throw at us.

I am currently a VZW Curve users and was waiting for the Storm but like anything brand new I will wait for the next model. The IPhone has more time in the market and plus that app store is very cool. Sometime trying to find an application for blackberry, you might have to hunt and peck for it. Apple has it all it seems right in the Itunes store.

I am thinking of going back to VZW and getting the Storm. That's what I orginally wanted, but now I have to deal with the etf from at&t - :\

long time BB user here. there is no way that the storm will be able to stay close to the iphone. and im willing to bet it will be delayed similar to the bolds fashion with at&t.

Personally, I think the hardware will be pretty sweet. The part where it may fall over is the OS and software. But I guess time will tell. :-) It's never a bad thing to have competition... we the consumers benefit from it.

What I love is how all the hard core BB users are so anti-iPhone for the simple fact it has no physical keyboard and now they sit there and talk up the Storm which has no physical keyboard... can we say hypocrites?

In terms of what? why do people continue saying this without even using it.. If you are talking in terms of sales, you are probably correct, as rim does not advertise like apple, but if you are talking in terms of features, and ect, I dont see how you can say anything until you have the device in your hands.. As for being delayed, I highlly doubt it.. The only reason it was delayed was because of at&t. I dont think verizon will keep delaying it...
