I dont think it was so much of a hate about the touch screen, rather than lack of features for business and email... Now that this phone will have those features, and a touch screen, they will buy into the touch screen more. I for one dont intend to get the storm, but It is an interesting new device from rim, and I think it will do well. Just enough to get rim some share in the touch realm.. I am however interested to see how well the browser is on it, as I have heard it is incredible.

As for being delayed, I highlly doubt it.. The only reason it was delayed was because of at&t. I dont think verizon will keep delaying it...
That is simply ExBBUser's opinion just like you have yours. I don't know how you can comment without you having the device in your hands...? Works both ways my friend.

And yes I was referring to the BB users who knocked the iPhone for not having a physical keyboard. There were plenty of them knocking it for that reason. Will I try to dig them up to show you? Not worth my time. But feel free to look around on some forums. Oh and you can't forget the head of RIM knocking the iPhone for what...? Lacking a physical keyboard! The biggest hypocrite of them all I suppose. And I will find that quote if it appeases you.

That comment that came from rim about not having a keyboard, I think that was more to the effect that he couldnt type on glass of the iphone. Not so much the fact that it didnt have a actual keyboard. The storms screen is totally different. So I dont think he was taking a shot necessarily at apple for touch screen devices, but rather talking down about their touch interface for typing. Maybe you saw it differently, but thats how I see it.

Will this phone be an iphone killer? No, but it wasnt made to be. It was just made to compete, and attract another crowd, and get some market share out.. I for one will be going with the bold, as it seems to be more practical use for texting, emailing, and ect. Hopefully within the next few weeks we will see at&t drop it.

Their is a document about the unveiling being on the 16th, and possible release date for the 17th of this month, but I will prepare for the worse, and say november for the bold.. Anyways, here is a few new links for the thunder.

Actually the Bold was delayed further now with RIM pointing the finger at AT&T...

And honestly, all of these "leaked" videos, documents, etc from RIM have hyped this up so much they are setting up for failure. I'm not even a betting man but that's one thing I'd bet on... And another thing to consider is this is not big enough that flocks of people will leave their current carrier to go to Verizon like people have with the iPhone 3g. Sorry, just not going to happen. RIM = FAIL

This phone is getting alot of hype, but how is it anymore then what apple did for the iphone? Upon release, you are suppoed to hype up your phone. No phone has been hyped up more than the iphone. So I dont get your comment on that behalf. Also, you really dont know how well this phone is going to do. Based on rims past, it will do just fine. Rim is still by far the most powerful smartphone company..

Anyways, as for the bold, their are many dates leading up to the phone being released this month.. If in infact does not come out by early october, then I may just give the storm a shot. Although I am not big on all touch screen devices.

its getting hyped up so much like bad ash said it is gonna flop. even from the early reviews - its still just a bb with a different screen. does nothing that is great. and look at the bold getting booted by orange due to issues. RIM is just tumbling at this point. give it up.

Its not getting any more hyped up than the iphone did. The bold doesnt have anymore issues than the iphone does.. Berries do nothing great? If that were the case, I dont think they would hold 56% of smartphone sales.. Blackberries excel at email, mms, messenger, ect. which is what the iphone lacks. I know this is an iphone forum, but just saying the bb isnt good at anything just isnt true. They are starting to market this phone, and I think it will do just fine.
