Default A HTC G1 Conversation

In regards to the G1, doesn't it drive you crazy that you can't save pictures from MMS messages? Not to turn this into a G1 thread but I do like the future of Android. I think right now it has to many quirky issues and things that just don't make sense. I look forward to it's future.

no problem, if you want to keep them, forward them in gmail... Its a cake walk... Not as much trouble as the stickied MMS solution for iphone.
Just bugs the hell out of me when someone sent me one, and couldn't open it.
Maybe I have not encountered quirky issues yet, on G1
I was worried about battery life in the beginning, but I condtioned the batteries and am getting better than the TP or the 3G. I left for work this morning at 6:15 and at 9:08pm I have 50%.

See to me that is a bigger pain then having someone email me pictures. Just adding a extra step for you, no matter how small it really is. All in all I'm glad things finally worked out for you.

I've tried a few devices myself to go along with my iPhone 3g. Treo Pro, Bold, and HTC Fuze... all of them are gone and I'm back to using the iPhone only.

i almost tried the fuze.. but again the browser... the beautiful iphone browser, the closest thing is the G1. It looks very good. Miss the two finger zoom, but I have less problems with accidental hitting links.

Yeah, that comes into play for me as well. But honest to God, my reception on the fuze was not nearly as good as it was on the iPhone. And I know that's completely opposite of what you had to deal with. I guess the iPhone and I were meant to be. Until the new one comes out...

And be sure to check out Rene's video if you have not done so Re: the G1. Some of the quirks he actually talks about.

I watched it, I guess it is what separates left and right brain people. It is totally more intuitive to me. The Amazon Mp3 store is so easy to buy from, and listen to samples from and quicker. The url input area always drove me nuts on the 3g so I guess to each their own. this is by no means perfect but he totally left out all the cool parts of the phone including the Calendar which blows the iphone calendar away. Oh well, thats why we have so many choices.

Yeah, the G1 is proving anything but intuitive for me. Maybe the iPhone let me atrophy or something, but it's proving a lot of work to do even simple things.

Maybe you could drop by my thread on Android Central and help me out?
